Auricular Acupuncture aka Ear Acupuncture-What's That Good For?

What exactly is ear acupuncture and what the heck is it good for?

The body never ceases to amaze and every day we continue to discover this in more and more detail. We also continue to reaffirm that the whole body is connected. We also confirming that in order to have the best healing outcomes we need to address the whole and not just the parts.

Now, Im going to ask you do a little imagining now. Look at your ear in a mirror or even just look at a picture of an ear, now imagine an image of a little curled up fetus overlaid on this image of your ear. This becomes a holographic imagine of the body. We now have access to the whole body through the ear.

When imbalances or problems show up in our bodies they will then show up on our ears. This has been noted throughout history, and at its roots the reasons this is possible is embryologic in origin, but thanks to a modern French physician named Nogier and another German name Bahr acicular therapy really has became an art and scientific practice. These two men spent countless hours measuring tissue resistance and frequency, mapping points and locating areas for treating the whole body and the mind through the ear.

Ear acupuncture can be performed in a few different ways. One is by needling the specified points just as you would with body points, two you can need the points and use an electrical current to stimulate the points, you can use an “ear seed or small intradermal needle that is left in the ear to stimulate the point, or finally you can use a special machine that is calibrated to find and treat points based on their frequency.
